Unfortunately, this scheme has now been deselected and is not one of the 79 schemes which comprise the final Connect2 Project.

At the end of April we had the difficult job of choosing the final list of 79 schemes and 20 reserves from a Long List of 127 excellent proposals. This particular scheme did not make it on to the final list.

I think this project a very bad idea for the people who live in the Beeston Rylands,the majority of who feel it is a bad idea to link Clifton so directly to this area.At the moment we don't have too much in the way of anti social behavior.If this Bridge was built that would all change as it would give easy access to all the yobs and troublemakers from the Clifton Esate to this area. Whoever thought upthis idea obviously doesn't live in this area.
