The link between Coleshill and the north part of Solihull is a great opportunity to effectively bring a countryside route into the urban area of the West Midlands. What was once open countryside is severed by the A446, M42, M6 toll, M6 and A452 in little over a mile which must be some kind of record! It says something of our transport planning system that this has been allowed to happen over the years without the Highways Agency (?) having to maintain a decent link for pedestrians and cyclists. Let's hope Connect2 can be the channel to get something done about this.
