Sandy, life is made easier for one grateful resident

Part of the National Cycle Network was opened in 2004, linking Sandy to Bedford, the nearest large town

What does the local community think?

"I would like to congratulate you for an excellent job that has improved the quality of life for the many people who now regularly use this link. I have cycled it on a number of occasions, both for leisure and to get to Bedford to do my Saturday morning shopping. It also links us to the UGC cinema on the outskirts of Bedford, so I am now able to cycle to the cinema - which, unless you wanted to brave the rather fast and dangerous A603 - was not an attractive option previously. Every time I use it, I always encounter other cyclists and pedestrians enjoying this new route.

Keep up the great work,

Harry Huyton

Sandy, Bedfordshire"
