"We can now cycle or walk to the lake almost entirely on the cycle path. Recently I did a run to Stanborough, round to Welwyn Garden City and back via the watermill at Mill Green along NCN12/61, with my daughter aged 7 on her Puky (a trike with a handle to push) and my son on the back of my bike. Only three miles or so, but a huge achievement for Eleanor. Both my children enjoy cycling as they see it as safe and fun.
"As a non-car family Jane and I do our utmost to encourage our children to walk, to use bikes and public transport."
