Sustrans is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information and procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

The information we collect and how we use it

When you sign up for further news from Sustrans we need to know your e-mail in order for you to receive the e-newsletters.  When you show your support for a project we need to know your name and postcode so we can check that we don't have one person showing their support on more than one occasion, and that we can see how widespread support is for the projects.  When you sign up for the forum we collect data to ensure you have a secure account and only one account.

The relevant information is then used by us to inform you of events which may be of interest to you and to communicate with you. We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and we may provide such aggregate information to third parties, such as the media. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

We may also wish to provide you with information about special features of our website or any other service or products we think may be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this information, please let us know using the 'Contact us' form.

Our use of cookies

"Cookies" are pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Updating your details

If any of the information that you have provided to Sustrans changes, for example if you change your e-mail address or name please let us know the correct details by using the 'Contact us' form or by sending a letter to Sustrans, National Cycle Network Centre, 2 Cathedral Square, College Green, Bristol, BS1 5DD.  You are able to change your own details for the forum, using the 'My details' button.
