Scheme: Port Talbot to Cwmafan and Afan Forest Park
Description: The Connect2 project aims to create safe, attractive footpaths and cycle pathsbetween Port Talbot, Cwmafan, Pontrhydyfen and the popular Afan Forest Park, connecting local people to their shops, schools, work and green spaces. The roads between Pontrhydyfen, Cwmafan and Port Talbot are busy, narrow and unpleasant for walking and cycling. We plan to create a network of paths and bridges away from the traffic to make it easier for local people to travel between these places by foot or bike.The paths will continue to Afan Forest Park and beyond and will also connect people to local facilities in the town and to the sea front.
